Connectgroups are the beating heart of the church!
Connectgroups exist to help you in your walk with God. They provide support, social contact, friendship, and knowledge to help you through the week. They’re also a lot of fun! As City Life Church grows, we believe that personal relationships must also grow and become more important. We are a large church in number, but at the same time we want to be very close to each other.
What can you expect in a Connectgroup?
Prepare yourself for a morning or evening where you get to know God better in a relaxed way. Where you can ask your questions, share your experiences, pray together, and where practical education is given. A trusted environment where lives are built together! Also, a Connectgroup is the ideal way to build friendships.
What Connectgroups are there?
City Life Church has Dutch-speaking Connectgroups which also speak English as well as English only Connectgroups. To see details of each group, contact the Leader or, to sign-up, please click the links below (in Dutch).

INTEREST GROUPS
There are also groups around a certain interest. Think of boot camps, bible study, bible journaling, and more! We have two seasons a year every year: starting in September and at the end of January. Whatever your age or interest, there is always a group that suits you perfectly.
Currently there are no purely English-speaking Interest Groups, however many are able to speak English. Please click the link below to see the existing Interest Groups.
COURSES AT CLC
Personal Growth Path
Life with God is a journey. We’re happy to help you grow in your personal relationship with Him. In City Life Church you can follow a personal growth plan – see it as a growth path. In a few steps you’ll discover more and more about who God is, what plans and promises He has for you and how you can lead a fruitful life for Him. The steps are, of course, not mandatory, but are a recommendation for anyone who wants to grow and develop.
Alpha
At Alpha, you’ll discover, in a relaxed way, what the Christian faith means. The course is easy to understand, educational and also fun! You can ask all of your questions you have, as well as discuss interesting topics with other participants. Come and embark on this inspiring adventure!
Alpha Prayer Course
The Prayer Course consists of eight interactive small group meetings based on the Lord’s Prayer. The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer that Jesus teaches us in the bible. The course is designed to start a conversation about prayer and to deepen your prayer life with topics such as intercession, unanswered prayer, and learning to listen to God.
CURRENTLY ONLY IN DUTCH
Freedom in Christ
The Freedom in Christ discipleship course can help you understand the truth about who you are in Christ and to resolve personal and spiritual conflicts. You’ll continue to grow in maturity and in freedom in Christ – and become a disciple who can bear fruit. This course has made a great difference for many people in both their daily lives and spiritual journeys.
The Marriage Course
A good marriage requires attention! The Marriage Course is designed to strengthen marriages.
The Marriage Course is for couples who want to invest in their relationship. The course is developed by Christians (Alpha), but it’s relevant for everyone. This course covers topics that every couple has to deal with. It doesn’t matter if you have been married for less than 2 years or more than 30 years.
Making time for each other is the key to a happy relationship according to research. Often in a relationship there is a need for, for example, more joint activities, better conversations with each other and better sex, but how do you go about doing that? The Marriage Course is a good start.
During seven evenings you and your partner will receive practical tools to get started together. Interspersed with introductions from course leaders, the two of you will discuss topics such as conflict, sex, in-laws, forgiveness and communication. So there are no group conversations, there is time for each other.
This course is fun and good for your relationship, whether things are going well or not.
Dates: Keep an eye here for the next session.
Bible study: The Theology of Suffering – starting September 25
A new Bible study, a new topic with a new approach: The Theology of Suffering
One of the most difficult topics people want to discuss when you talk to them about God is the question of suffering. If God exists, why is there so much suffering in the world? Why doesn’t God intervene? Does suffering have a purpose? Is it the fault of people themselves if they have to suffer? And why do Christians actually suffer?
Enough questions. And the Bible has answers. Who wants to dive into that Bible with me to learn what it says about suffering?
There are 2 blocks:
Module 1: September 25 and October 2: Introduction and Introduction
Module 2: 13, 29 and 27 November: background and dealing with suffering
