The year has started!
Hey church, we sincerely hope and pray that your year has started well, in health and with God! In this newsletter, we’ll look ahead to some of the things that come with the start of a new season, including:
– Vision Week and Vision Sunday
– our (new) courses
Read on quick! Be blessed, and hopefully see you Sunday!
– Joshua & Chelsea
Sadness & Mourning – a special Sunday afternoon
A special hour to reflect on sadness and mourning for what you have lost. A divorce of your parents; a lost friendship; are you a single mom/dad, or widower/widow. Loss of your health; or maybe you have lost your freedom due to informal care, extra overtime, old age, or you have physical complaints. You sleep badly, have a child that requires extra attention…
Mathilde will lead this time. In addition to a short input, there will be a special moment for the Holy Spirit to do His work. He comforts, heals, binds up broken hearts and gives peace and courage, hope and life.
This coming Sunday after the 2nd service, 1.45 pm in the Basement
This Month: a New Sermon Series
In the four weeks leading up to Vision Sunday, we will talk about Winning the Battle Within. This series, based on Levi Lusko’s book ‘I DeclareWar’, will help us start this year with:
– good/God’s thoughts
– good words
– good habits
– live from God’s Spirit
Look back at this past Sunday’s sermon here!
Vision Week: the week of joint prayer & fasting!
Next Monday, together we will start, as a whole church, a week of prayer and fasting. We want to set aside time for God, to pray (more), to spend time with Him, to listen… We believe this is a powerful thing to do together!
Will you join us?

GROW – discipleship & development this season
Alpha – a journey of discovery. Come join us!
At Alpha you’ll discover, in a relaxed way, what the Christian faith means and how this can be relevant to you. The meetings (which start with a nice meal together) are accessible, instructive and also a lot of fun. You can ask all your questions and talk to other participants about fascinating topics. Discover answers together.
Alpha starts Thursday, February 2
Marriage Course
A good marriage demands attention! The Marriage Course is for couples who want to invest in their relationship. The course was developed by Christians (Alpha), but is relevant for everyone. The Marriage Course deals with issues that every couple has to deal with. It doesn’t matter if you’re about to get married, are newlyweds, or have been married for more than thirty years.
Start: February 9 (Thursdays)
Alpha Prayer Course
The Prayer Course consists of eight interactive meetings based on the ‘Our Father’ prayer. This is a prayer that Jesus teaches us in the Bible. The course is designed to talk about prayer and to deepen your prayer life. With topics such as intercession, unanswered prayer and learning to listen.
Start: February 23 (Thursdays)
Freedom in Christ
This discipleship course will help you understand the truth about who you are in Christ and resolve personal and spiritual conflicts. You’ll be able to continue to grow in maturity and freedom in Christ and become a disciple who can bear fruit. Did you know that we have been giving this course twice a year for 6 years and it still blesses a lot of people?
Start: February 14 (Tuesdays)
New! Alpha Parenting Course – children (online!)
The Parenting Kids Course is a place for meeting, recognition, and inspiration. You’ll be able to talk to other parents about recognizable challenges and receive tools, tips, and new ideas for home. Because every parent wants the best for their child(ren)!
Start: February 26 (online) (Sundays)
New! Alpha Parenting Course – Teenagers
The Parenting Teenagers Course is a place for meeting, recognition and inspiration. You’ll talk to other parents about recognizable challenges and receive tools, tips and new ideas for home. Because every parent wants the best for their child(ren)!
Did you know that more than 400 people are active in a team?
Ranging from different things within Kids, catering, or translation, to volunteers at the office, at the Food Bank or photography. The youngest team members are younger than 10 years old (!), and the oldest 75+!
God has also given you something to contribute; something to be able to develop (further) and to add something to others!
Interested in a team? View the vacancy bank, app us, or talk to someone on Sunday. We hope to welcome you in our team!
(Online) Prayer Requests and Thanksgiving
Every week, we pray in the service for those in need. A team also prays for a few weeks for all prayer cards and points received.
